+/ On y est arrivés. C’est la dernière Strictly Niceness de la saison numéro 9. C’est l’anniversaire aussi. En famille. Comme chaque année. Dj Eleven le Fils Prodigue, Dj Reedoo le Divin Chauve, et les résidents Bernard Dobbeleer et Kwak. Une bien belle nuit en perspective.
La prochaine saison verra plusieurs changements notoires. Mais c’est une autre histoire. Plus d’infos suivront très bientôt.

+/ Het is weer zover. De laatste Strictly Niceness van het negende seizoen. Zoals elk jaar vieren we tevens onze verjaardag. Een familiaal gebeuren.. Kom het met ons meevieren op 11 juni. DJ Eleven the Prodigal Son, DJ Reedoo the Divine Baldhead en residents Bernard Dobbeleer en DJ Kwak achter de draaitafels voor alweer een zotte nacht.

Het volgende seizoen zijn er veel veranderingen op komst. Maar dat is een ander verhaal. Binnenkort meer nieuws!

Will Quantic Holland is an english man living in Colombia. For the last 10 years, he released numerous records on the mighty Tru Thoughts label under various monikers like Quantic Soul Orchestra, Quantic Y Su Combo Barbaro, or simply Quantic.
He is also an outstanding dj and compilations provider to be filed under the rare grooves and latin discoveries domain. Check his latest compilation called "Quantic Presents Tropical Funk Experience" on Nascente Records to fully understand what it's all about. Those who have witnessed the fitness of the man behind decks remember an outstanding night of smiles, dance and sweat.
This friday, april 1st, Club Chaleur ( a new concept powered by Dj Reedoo and Strictly Niceness's own Dj Kwak) is pleased and proud to welcome him back in Brussels. It's been a minute.

Think workshops (about movies, photography, Ableton, and more), Beat Battle, exhibitions, Dj sets and live shows. Ahu, Onra, San Soda, Nabil Ben Yadir ... all this powered by Onda Sonora, On Point and Ecklewood. All day long at De Kriekelaar, Rue Gallait 88 (1030 Brussels), this saturday 26 februari.

This time it’s all about wax ... vinyl, records, call that however you want ... You know, that piece of wax Dj’s used to spin prior to the digital age.

Nia Saw is Belgian from senegalese origin. She lives in London and learned how to spin with Keb Darge ans Andy Smith; two of the most well known record collectors worldwide. She was the co-host at the infamous Deep Funk Night at Madame Jojo's in London. And she has jewels in her record box as you will be able to testify in front of a court on the next day. Oh yes, gentlemen ! She’s candy for your eyes as well as for your ears.

Rico Colantoni is her local equivalent. A master at finding the funkiest 45 available around and spinning them with style and ease.

Add the Residents to this menu, you’ll have what will be a pretty good party.


The entrance is (much) cheaper before midnight. It is even free before 11pm.

We recorded the last edition of Strictly Niceness, which took place at La Bodega (as usual) on january 8th. It was a resident night. Bernard Dobbeleer and I had great fun, there was a crazy vibe. People left with a smile on their face and so did we ...
Here is the mix we did, it's almost complete ... it goes from Chuck Brown & The Soul Searchers to Ramadanman, from Masters At Work to Teena Marie (RIP); from The Budos Band to Snoop Dogg, ... and back.

4 hours and 45 minutes in 2 parts. Raw, uncut, and no overdubs of course.
